Located on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River, close to the local fresh market.

This temple was built by the Mon people who immigrated from Myanmar to Thailand during the reign of King Taksin. Originally named Wat Hong Sa, it was renamed Wat Hong Patumawat in 1942, a name it has retained until today. The temple has received an award for its outstanding fish conservation project. It is home to a diverse range of fish species, including catfish, snakehead fish, giant gourami, and many others, which eagerly await food from generous visitors.
