The boutique accommodation by the Chao Phraya River boasts a beautiful view of Wat Phutthaisawan on the opposite bank. The hotel's name is derived from a map created by Vincenzo Coronelli in 1696, during the reign of King Phet Racha. The name IUDIA can be found in the upper right corner of the map. For Thai speakers, it is pronounced as "Ayutthaya," while in English it would be pronounced as "I-U-Dia." This name intriguingly conveys a deeper meaning: “my city and yours.” The "I" stands for "my," "U" for "you," and "Dia" is the English spelling that resembles "Thaya," similar to how they spell India.
