It is a small island located in the Krabi River, surrounded by lush mangrove forests at the river mouth. The area is rich in biodiversity and is infused with the charm of a simple community lifestyle that has preserved its local identity remarkably well. The residents of the island are primarily Muslim, which means that bringing pigs and dogs onto the island is prohibited. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities, such as exploring the scenic ambiance and daily life of the island's inhabitants. Options for exploration include walking, cycling, renting a motorcycle, or taking a guided tour in a sidecar tricycle. You can also witness demonstrations from various local professions, including an organic farming group, rice cultivation using the traditional "Sang Yod" method, and batik fabric making, as well as model boat crafting. Accommodation on the island ranges from resorts to homestays, and there are affordable seafood restaurants serving fresh local dishes. Tourists can visit the island for a day-trip or choose to stay overnight. For travel, you can take a long-tail boat from Krabi town. Depart from Chaofa Pier to Tha Hin Pier (the middle island), which takes about 15 minutes, or from the Taram Park Pier to Tha Le Pier (the middle island), which takes about 10 minutes. Both piers offer frequent boat services from morning until early evening.
