Pak Nam Krasae, Klaeng District, Rayong.

**Conservation Tourism at Pak Nam Prasae: A Lush Mangrove Ecosystem** Once an area primarily devoted to agriculture and fishing by the residents of Ban Saem Phu community in Pak Nam Prasae, this region, which had suffered from environmental degradation, has gradually been restored. The local municipality, in collaboration with community members, has worked diligently to revive the largest mangrove forest in Rayong Province. This initiative aims not only to restore the ecosystem but also to develop it into a conservation tourism destination, offering educational opportunities to raise awareness about the importance of rich coastal nature. A leisurely stroll along the wooden paths, extending over 2 kilometers, reveals the vibrant life of the mangrove forest, filled with diverse plant species such as Rhizophora mucronata, black mangrove, bruguiera, and red mangrove. The highlight, however, is the stunning "Golden Mangrove Field," formed by a dense cluster of golden-leaved plants. When sunlight hits these leaves, it creates a breathtaking golden field amidst the lush green backdrop of the surrounding mangrove trees, turning it into a significant conservation tourist destination in Rayong. **Must-See Attractions:** - **Mangrove Nature Trail:** Experience the rich biodiversity of the mangrove forest and explore the Golden Mangrove Field. - **Golden Mangrove Field:** As you traverse the wooden path, marvel at the radiant yellow mangroves. - **Viewing Pavilion:** Relax at the sky-view pavilion in the heart of the mangrove forest, where you can enjoy sweeping views of the sea meeting the horizon. Entry to these attractions is free of charge. However, the access roads to the community are not suitable for private vehicles due to their narrowness and limited space. Community motorcycles and boats are available for hire, offering guided tours through the mangroves, especially enchanting at night. **Unmissable Activities:** - **Wooden Bridge Stroll:** Take a walk along the path to witness the magical glow of fireflies at night. - **Wildlife Observation:** Discover the marine creatures that thrive in this mangrove ecosystem, such as shrimp, shellfish, fiddler crabs, and mudskippers.
