Today, the Phimai National Museum serves as a comprehensive repository of knowledge pertaining to history and archaeology. It houses a collection of ancient artifacts and artworks, showcasing stories about the roots and development of the rich culture of the Isaan region in northeastern Thailand. This area, which flourished along the banks of the Mun and Chi Rivers in the provinces of Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, and Buriram, has a history that extends back around 3,000 years, from prehistoric times to the present day.
