If it is still a temple where the navel or the city pillar of Chiang Rai is built within the temple area as well, formerly known as Chan Ta Lok Temple or Wat Chan Lok Built in the year 1975, the reason for this name is because there are naturally large red sandalwood trees within the temple grounds. And this red sandalwood tree is a sacred tree according to ancient traditions. But as time passes This tree was cut down. In addition, at the time of building the city of Chiang Rai the second time in the year 2417, there was a survey from 4 corners of the city and found that the center of Chiang Rai was at Wat Chan Ta Lok.
