In Ang Thong District, I paid my respects at the “Phra Mahavihara Jaturohmuk Phra Mongkol Thepmuni” (Luang Por Sod), the largest Buddha statue in the world. With a broad lap size of 6 meters and 9 inches and a height of 9.9 meters, it is entirely made of metal covered in radiant gold. I also visited “Luang Por Yok,” a beautiful stucco Buddha statue in the Ayutthaya style, which is revered by the local people.
