Wat Thong Noppakhun

Wat Thong Noppakhun

Bang Jak Subdistrict, Mueang Phetchaburi District.

Originally named Wat Thong Lang, the creator of this temple is not clearly known, but it is believed to have been built during the late Ayutthaya period. Later, Phra Ya Chote Tak Rajasetthi (Thong Chin) took on the responsibility of renovating and restoring the temple, which was then designated as a royal monastery during the reign of King Nangklao (Rama IV). The temple underwent significant restoration once again during the reign of King Chom Khet (Rama V).
