Wat Tha Chai was established in 2300 BE (Buddhist Era) and was originally known as "Wat Klong Khae." This ancient temple has its roots dating back to the second destruction of Ayutthaya, when it was burned and destroyed by the Burmese, making it nearly impossible to restore. When peace returned to the land, the temple was relocated to its current site and renamed "Wat Tha Chai." Inside Wat Tha Chai, there is a revered Buddha statue known as Phra Phutthakhun Hin, which holds great significance for the local community.
