Luang Pho Khao, or Luang Pho Poon, is a seated Buddha statue made of plaster, located at Wat Nakorn Tham in Sa Kaeo Province. This statue is a revered symbol for the people of Wan Tan Nok District in Sa Kaeo. Luang Pho Khao is depicted in the "Buddha subduing Mara" posture, measuring 130.9 centimeters across the lap. Within its abdomen, are enclosed diamonds, gold, and silver, treasures that have attracted the faith of many. In the past, the local community referred to Luang Pho Khao as Luang Pho Poon. The journey to the temple begins at the Watthanakorn intersection. From there, take Highway No. 3395 towards Khlong Hat for about one kilometer, and you will arrive at the temple. Overall, the journey is convenient, and the temple itself is an important site for cultural and religious heritage.
