The statue of King Ananda Mahidol, Rama VIII, is a life-size representation and is one of only four such statues in Thailand. It is located at Wat Sutthat, Chulalongkorn Hospital, Ananda Hospital, and Nong Nang Temple in Sarika Subdistrict, Nakhon Nayok Province. The bronze casting took place on April 6, 1971, presided over by Somdej Phra Ariyavongsakavitthayak, the Supreme Patriarch (Juan Utthayi), who obtained royal permission from the King. Currently, a European-style octagonal dome has been built to cover the statue.
