Wat Pa Pao

This is the first Wat Ngeo (Tai Yai) in Chiang Mai built in the reign of King Inthawichayanon in 1883 by Mom Bua Lai. Phra concubine of Thai Yai descent and Shan people who migrated to Chiang Mai And with the area where the temple is located, there are a lot of herbs. Originally, this Wat Pa Pao was an old house. or the old palace of King Kue Na Thammikarat Ruler of Chiang Mai in those days after his death has brought the body of Phra Chao Kue Na entered the city on the wall opposite the Brahmin Temple which is where Wat Pa Pao is located today to perform the funeral ceremony of God Kue After that, this temple was abandoned due to the war until it fell into disrepair. and was restored in the reign of King Kawila Ruler of Chiang Mai in the past
