Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan, commonly known as "Wat Yai," is located on Phutthabucha Road along the eastern bank of the Nan River, directly across from the Phitsanulok Provincial Hall. This royal monastery is classified as a first-class important temple and is widely recognized as the home of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, which is celebrated as the most beautiful Buddha statue in Thailand and one of the prettiest in the world. This temple is situated in the urban area, making it easily accessible. Surrounding the temple are markets selling various goods, and there are several food stalls operating within the temple grounds from 7 a.m. onwards. In front of the temple lies the largest souvenir shop in the province. However, parking can be quite challenging, especially during festivals or Buddhist holy days; it's advisable to park around the temple and walk in instead. Inside, you'll find numerous Buddha statues beyond the main hall of Phra Buddha Chinnarat, each housed in its own beautifully adorned shrine, varying in design and artistry. One statue that is particularly recommended for visitation is Luang Por To, located in the front hall of the temple.
