Wat Sao Thong Thong

Bang Krui–Sai Noi Road, Bang Krui District

Close to Wat Phai Lom, which was built by the Mon people during the Thonburi era, the temple was originally named Wat Suan Mak. The Mon locals refer to it as Phea A La. Inside the temple, there is a large, pyramid-shaped chedi known for being the tallest in Pak Kret, constructed during the Ayutthaya period. It features 12 supporting chedis, and next to the ubosot (ordination hall), there are two more chedis — one shaped like a bell and the other resembling a starfruit, offering a unique visual appeal. A noteworthy sight is the Khun Thep Phakdi building, donated by a wealthy Mon merchant in 1908.

Province: Nonthaburi
