Moli Lok Yara Ram Royal Monastery, formerly known as Wat Tai Talat, is located near the former Royal Palace in Wat Arun Subdistrict, Bangkok Yai District, Bangkok. It is a second-class royal monastery of the Rajavaram type, constructed during the Ayutthaya period, although the name of its founder remains unknown. The temple was named "Wat Tai Talat" because it is situated next to the Thonburi market, a name that locals still use today. During the Thonburi period, this temple was within the royal compound, and therefore, there were no monks residing there throughout that reign. In the reign of King Rama III, the temple underwent a complete restoration, and its name was changed to "Wat Moli Lok Yusuttharam," which later became known as "Wat Moli Lok Yara Ram."
