The Tiger Shrine was established during the reign of King Nangklao (King Rama III). Originally located along Bamrung Mueang Road, it was later relocated to a junction on Tanao Road at the command of King Chulalongkorn (King Rama V), who wished to expand Bamrung Mueang Road. This relocation has persisted to the present day.
