The Phrae Agricultural Research and Development Center is located in Moo 5, Wang Hong Sub-district, within the Huai Bia National Forest Reserve. It serves as an experimental station for horticulture in Phrae, designed for testing and selecting quality fruit tree varieties, as well as transferring technology related to fruit orchards, vegetables, and ornamental plants to farmers in the northern region. Additionally, research is conducted to gather and study various citrus plant species, examining the cultivation of sweet oranges on different rootstock types across various soil classes, along with other research initiatives. Agricultural tourism activities include participating in seasonal harvesting of agricultural produce (fruits/flowers). Visitors who are interested should contact in advance, ideally one week prior to their visit. The center is open for visits only during official hours. For inquiries, please call 0 5455 6526 or 08 1764 5882. To get there, travel from the Phrae District Office heading north along the right bank of the irrigation canal, covering a distance of 20 kilometers.
