Experience the vibrant atmosphere of the community tourism village known as Baan Suksamboon, which was originally called Baan Huay Khamin, named after the nearby Huay Khamin stream filled with numerous turmeric plants. In 1986, the governor of the province visited the village and recognized its abundant resources. The local residents engage in various occupations, such as cultivating cassava, growing corn, planting cucumbers, farming chili peppers, producing organic vegetables, cultivating shiitake mushrooms, growing chrysanthemums, establishing fruit orchards, and setting up homestay accommodations. As a result, the community renamed the village to Suksamboon, inspired by a group of villagers dedicated to preserving the origin of the Mun River. They recognized that Suksamboon not only thrived with natural abundance but also offered intriguing tourist attractions, drawing in many visitors. In 2006, the group established the “Baan Suksamboon Homestay” under the name of the Conservation Group of the Mun River's Source, promoting eco-tourism and agricultural experiences that allow travelers to choose their own adventures. This village is certainly a place worth visiting at least once.
