The National Library, located in Tha Wasukri, was originally established in the Grand Palace under the name "Vajirayan Library." It was later relocated and newly constructed in Tha Wasukri in 1966 as a large four-story building. Today, the library has significantly expanded its research and administrative capabilities and includes the Vajirayan Library which serves as a venue for storing stone inscriptions and sacred texts, a music library dedicated to His Royal Highness Prince Bhiphot, a collection of ancient language books, the Narathip Center for Social Science Research, an audio-visual materials room, and a Sukhothai-style gathering area. Additionally, the library offers services such as documentary film screenings and hosts discussions in its meeting room, along with various exhibitions held regularly. It is open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with closures during the Songkran festival and New Year holidays. Admission is free. For inquiries, you can contact them at 0 2281 5212 or 0 2281 5313.
