Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Historical Park

Khlong Toei Road, Pratu Chai Subdistrict.

This is one of the temples located within the Historic City of Ayutthaya. Its most notable feature is the head of an ancient Buddha statue, over a hundred years old, enveloped by tree roots. The original statue has been lost, believed to have fallen to the base of the tree during the conquest of the city, with the roots subsequently growing around it. This has created a striking and unique beauty, turning it into a renowned wonder. As a result, this temple has gained fame and recognition among both Thai citizens and international visitors.
