Savannah of Thailand warmly welcomes everyone with its breathtaking scenery, especially in the early mornings when golden light gradually spills over the treetops, painting vibrant colors across Thung Salang Luang National Park (Nong Maena). This area belongs to the Salang Luang National Park Unit 8 (Nong Maena) in Phetchabun Province, located approximately 60 kilometers from the park headquarters in Phitsanulok. The highlight here is the natural pine forests and expansive savanna grasslands, which are most beautiful during the late rainy season and early winter. One of the park's highlights is Thung Salang Luang, famously dubbed the Savannah of Thailand, with its savanna-like grasslands interspersed with clusters of two-leaved pine forests, making it a favorite spot for photographers. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls while feeling the fresh breeze on the suspension bridge, which is located just 3 kilometers from the park headquarters. Thung Nang Phya, situated 14 kilometers south of the headquarters, offers grasslands surrounded by two-leaved pine forests, dry evergreen forests, and deciduous forests. During summer, one can find numerous wild orchids in bloom, such as the Chanthaburi orchid and the mouth-throwing orchid. This destination is perfect for pitching tents and immersing oneself in nature. Adventurers can experience the thrill of rafting at Wang Nam Yen, a long stretch of massive boulders creating deep pools, providing fun and excitement for tourists. Don't miss out on the chance to spot freshwater jellyfish around Bang Rachan rapids, a rare sight that can be witnessed only in a few places in the world, appearing around early March to early May. Entry fees to Thung Salang Luang National Park are as follows: for Thai nationals, adults pay 40 baht and children 20 baht; for foreign tourists, adults pay 200 baht and children 100 baht. *Thai citizens with disabilities can enter for free upon showing their ID card and disability card.* Accommodation and Facilities: The park offers bungalows for visitors.
