Koh Phangan is an island in the Gulf of Thailand, located to the southwest of Thailand in Surat Thani Province. It is part of the Koh Phangan District and is famous for the Full Moon Party held at Haad Rin Beach. This destination is popular among backpackers and is well-known for its vibrant party scene. In addition to this event, Koh Phangan also boasts beautiful sandy beaches, making it a perfect vacation spot for everyone. You can take a Bangkok Airways flight to Koh Samui, and then a quick 30-minute boat ride will bring you to Koh Phangan. Alternatively, if you prefer to take the train, you can travel to Phunphin Station, then take a bus to Don Sak, and finally a ferry to Koh Phangan, which takes an additional 2 to 3 hours. For those with plenty of time who prefer not to switch transportation multiple times, there are also direct bus services from Bangkok to Koh Phangan that take about 28 hours. The bus will even take you onto the ferry to cross over.
