Rattiya City resembles Mallika City from the early Rattanakosin era quite significantly. This retro-style tourist destination is distinguished by the grand white walls of the City Gate Fortress, showcasing stunning Ayutthaya-era architecture. The fortifications and city gates are impressively beautiful, offering countless picturesque spots for photography. Rattiya City was established by Mom Luang Phanthapewan Temlok, known as Mom Noi, a master director in Thailand. He initiated the construction of the City Gate Fortress, which is situated along the banks of the Tha Chin River. This site serves as a historical reference to the Ayutthaya period and was purposefully created as a filming location for the series "Si Ayodhya," broadcast on Channel 24U (True4U). The project was further supported by Khun Rattiya Srisangwanawa, the owner of Rattiya City, who generously provided private land to create a permanent set that reflects the grandeur befitting a cinematic series. This effort honors the legacy of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and pays tribute to the great kings of the Siamese nation. The beauty and realism of Rattiya City make it an essential backdrop for filming dramas, including "Sai Lohit" and "Nang Thip," aired on Channel 7 HD. Rattiya City aims to promote the historical values of this period, communicating this legacy through the replica of the City Gate Fortress to educate visitors and inspire future generations to cherish and appreciate their land.
