The old mansion-style police station at the Sukhothai Police Station in Sawankhalok District, Sukhothai Province, is one of the few large mansion-style buildings remaining in the country that belong to the National Police Office. Due to the architectural significance of this historic police station, police officials from the government and private sectors collaborated to restore and repair it with a budget exceeding 2 million baht. In recognition of their efforts, the project received the "Outstanding Preservation of Architectural Heritage Award" in the category of institutions and public buildings from the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage, both at the northern region and national levels in 2016.
