Nestled in the mountains of Laos, in the Mae Ngon sub-district of Fang district, Chiang Mai province, this area stands at an altitude of 1,400 meters above sea level, with its peak reaching 1,928 meters. It is home to the Ang Khang Royal Agricultural Station, established in 1969 under the royal initiative of His Majesty the King, which aimed to promote self-sufficiency among the local people. The project transformed the region from opium cultivation into a thriving cold-weather agricultural landscape that generates a significantly better income for the community.
