Located on Nakorn Sawan Road in the Wat Sommanat district, this market was established during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) and is celebrated as the first land-based market in Thailand, boasting a history of over 120 years. Among the highlights are Nanta Thai Desserts, offering authentic traditional recipes passed down from the royal kitchens of Wang Lang, and Aunt Hong’s Thai Desserts. The market also features an abundance of famous savory dishes, like the popular Rueng Ruang Noodles, which serves Hokkien-style noodles known for their texture and flavorful broth, with specialties such as crab noodles and pork rib noodles. Notably, their red pork rice was once served to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II during her royal visit to Thailand. Additionally, Boonlert's wonton noodles, grilled pork, and other eateries have graced the table of His Majesty King Rama IX.
