The Equestrian Statue of King Chulalongkorn, also known as King Rama V, is a place of profound sanctity and serves as a spiritual focal point for the people who come to pay their respects every night. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings, there are booths providing flowers, incense, and candles, with police and military officers stationed around the area to ensure safety. The area is spacious, and vehicles are not allowed to approach the front of the statue, so visitors must park their cars on the street before reaching Misakawan Intersection. It is advisable to visit with a sense of reverence, as the surroundings include military facilities and the royal palace. Evening visits, from 8 PM to midnight, are particularly suitable, as there are always people paying their respects. You can visit alone, as this area is very safe. == Offering to the Great Benefactor == Prepare 5 red roses along with 9 incense sticks (it would be nice to include steamed layer cake, but it’s not essential). Begin with taking the Three Refuges (Namo) three times, and then say: "Phra Sayama Mintoh Waro Iti Phuttasangmi Iti Arhant Sahassakayang Warang Buddho Namo Buddhaya" (repeat 3 times). It is important not to make vows, as he is a celestial king; it would be inappropriate to bribe a monarch. His preferred offerings include young coconut water, ripe bananas, traditional Thai desserts (Thong Yip and Thong Yod), brandy, cigars, fried rice with shrimp paste, and red or pink roses.
