Chan Palace an ancient palace Located on the west side of the Nan River. on the north side of Phitsanulok It is the birthplace of King Naresuan the Great. and was his residence when he served as viceroy At that time, Phitsanulok was an important frontier city of Ayutthaya. The Fine Arts Department has registered ancient sites and announced ancient land boundaries in 1994. Important places in the vicinity of Chanthaburi Palace are: - Chanthaburi Historical Center It is a building that displays content related to the Chan Palace. Phitsanulok and the history of King Naresuan the Great Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Wat Wiharn Thong is located south of the Chan Palace. It is the main chedi in the form of a Phra Prang in the early Ayutthaya period. At present, only the base of the cutting board and the lotus base are left. It is assumed that Phra Attharos used to be the place where Phra Attharos was enshrined. which is currently enshrined in the chapel of Wat Saket By replicating the Buddha image, the size of the real one was enshrined in the original temple. It is assumed that Wat Wiharn Thong should be built between the 20th and 21st century AD. - Wat Si Sukhot is located in the southwestern wall outside the Chan Palace. It is a bell shaped main pagoda. There are pagodas at each of the four corners. It is assumed that Wat Si Sukhot was a temple that existed before the construction of the Chan Palace. Built between the 20th and 21st century AD - Wat Pho Thong is located in the southwest outside the Chan Palace wall. Consists of the main chedi, only the base of the Khiang remains. There are pagodas at each of the four corners.
