Located within the area of the Queen Sirikit Park, covering a space of 7 rai, the Bangkok Children’s Museum is a project that stems from the royal initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, who recognized the importance of creating an enjoyable learning process for Thai children. The museum aims to offer engaging activities for children and families in Bangkok. Officially inaugurated on August 17, 2001, the museum was established as part of the royal celebrations marking the Queen's 60th birthday. Over the years, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has revamped the museum, adopting a modern approach to learning under the concept "Learning for Young Creative Minds." This initiative emphasizes a diverse learning methodology that captivates children's motivation, aligning with their development and potential. The museum carefully curates knowledge to foster creativity among the young visitors. The Bangkok Children’s Museum consists of two main buildings: 1. **The Tota Wan Building**: A three-story semi-circular structure, the central hall is spacious and open. It features creative exhibition areas tailored for children aged 7-12. - **Level 1** includes zones such as the Creative Space, Junior Thai Kitchen, Creative Science, and Dino Detective. - **Level 2** houses zones like Our Friends, Incredible Me, Amazing Vision, and Inventor's Club. - **Level 3** presents areas like Kid's Playhouse, Build Our City, and Wonder Building. 2. **The Rainbow Building**: A two-story facility designed to create a safe and engaging environment for children aged 0-6, a critical period for brain and muscle development. - **Level 1** features the Big Backyard and Creative Library. - **Level 2** showcases Rainbow Town. Additionally, the museum has an outdoor activity area called Jungle Adventure that encourages learning through outdoor exploration while boosting children’s confidence and strength.
