Thailand Post has a long and rich history, consistently providing excellent services to the public. You can explore the origins and evolution of postal services at the Philatelic Museum and Library. This museum showcases the history of Thai postal services along with the development of Thai postage stamps from the past to the present. It features Thailand's very first postage stamp, “Sola” from the reign of King Rama V, as well as various stamps from member countries of the Universal Postal Union. Inside the museum, there is a library that houses books collecting knowledge about postal services in both Thai and foreign languages. Additionally, there is a stamp shop on the lower floor of the building next to the museum, where you can find stamps and related collectibles. The museum also includes a replica exhibit showcasing the operational site and machinery of ancient telegraph post offices, which managed money orders, sold postage stamps, and more. In front of the museum, visitors can admire a collection of mailboxes from different eras, including some imported from abroad. Location: 2nd Floor, Northern Bangkok Post Office Building (next to Sam Sen Post Office) Phahonyothin Road, Samsen Sub-district, Phaya Tai District, Bangkok. The most convenient way to get there is by taking the BTS Skytrain to Mo Chit Station. Admission is free from Wednesday to Sunday, from 08:30 AM to 04:30 PM.
