**Kru Moo's Kitchen** Kru Moo is a second to third-generation heir, being a grandchild and great-grandchild of the former governor of Rayong. The inception of the restaurant traces back to when Kru Moo was still a teacher. With all of his descendants attending school, he found himself feeling lonely and decided to sell snacks and coffee after work at 5 PM. Initially, he sold various sandwiches, pork buns, dumplings, and tea and coffee. Some of his customers were former students who suggested that the lovely ambiance of his home, adorned with numerous antiques, would be perfect for serving food as well. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive regarding the taste, leading him to fully open the restaurant, which has now been running for 17 years. The must-try dishes include the **Traditional Vermicelli Stir-Fry**, a family recipe favored by the former governor of Rayong, and **Rayong Curry**, which features unique pineapple used in the cooking process, a rare find in local markets. The curry paste, made with coriander flowers, lends an aromatic quality different from other curry pastes. **Operating Hours:** 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, open daily **Location:** Yom Jinda Road **Contact:** 038613725 **Kway Chai by Madam Suan** Kway Chai, the original establishment on Yom Jinda Road, has preserved its traditional recipe for three generations, operating for 40 years. The original founder was a Teochew Chinese immigrant with the surname Lim, who initially sold pork and chicken noodles. He later created his own recipe for Kway Chai, which features thick, soft dough and a delicately flavored filling, all made using traditional methods. The shop also serves **rice mixed with shrimp paste** and **teriyaki rice**. **Operating Hours:** 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM, closed every Monday **Location:** Yom Jinda Road **Contact:** 0969648787 **Old House** Owner Bim has lived on Yom Jinda Road since childhood and developed a passion for visiting cafes and enjoying coffee and pastries. After completing his studies, upon returning to Yom Jinda, he noticed there were no cafes along the street. Coincidentally, a building nearby was available for rent, prompting him to establish a cafe, which became one of the first in the area. The rented building has a rich history, having previously been a laundry service, a jukebox storage, and a crochet clothing store before transforming into a cafe. Recommended menu items include **Peach Tea**, **Pineapple Coffee**, and seasonal pastries. The shop also offers clothing, beaded bracelets for sale, and a vintage 90's photo booth service. **Operating Hours:** 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM, closed every Tuesday **Location:** Yom Jinda Road **Contact:** 0617561035
