Wat Don Wai, also known as Wat Konga Ram Don Wai, is located in Moo 5, Ban Khok Wai, Bang Krathuk Subdistrict, Sam Phran District, Nakhon Pathom Province. Originally named Wat Khok Wai due to its construction on an elevated area abundant with rattan trees, the name later evolved to "Wat Konga Ram Don Wai" and then "Wat Don Wai." The term "Konga" refers to the temple's position by the banks of the Tha Chin River. Wat Don Wai was built around the same time as Wat Rai Khing, and the site originally housed a sugarcane mill owned by a Chinese family. They generously donated 9 rai, 3 ngan, and 60 square wah of land for the temple's establishment. The initiative to create the temple was led by Somdet Phutthacharn (Phuk) who enlisted the help of artisans from Ayutthaya alongside local residents in 1806. Later, Chao Khun Thamrachanuwat (Aak) oversaw the temple's completion. The current abbot is Phra Methee Thammanan (Samreng Thammananto). Devotees frequently visit to pay their respects and seek blessings from Luang Por Wilailert, the principal Buddha image enshrined within the ordination hall. Additionally, they honor Luang Por Wisa Han, a Buddha statue in the Mara Victory posture, which is positioned on a high pedestal; this artwork dates back to the early Rattanakosin period. Inside the hall, on either side, stand the figures of Phra Mokkhalana and Phra Sariputta, the revered disciples. Adjacent to the hall, there is a square pagoda with a twelve-cornered base to the east, while to the south lies a cylindrical stupa with a giant on its base. The temple also houses the holy relics enshrined in the pavilion beside the riverside market.
