Wat Pa Fang or Wat Sasan Chotikaram

69 Airport Road, Huawiang, Lampang City

This temple was constructed during the reign of King Rama V by Burmese immigrants who came to Lampang to work in the timber industry during a flourishing era for teak wood. Its standout feature is the magnificent golden stupa that gleams invitingly, instantly capturing your attention with its beauty. This temple also houses sacred relics that were brought from Burma around 1906. The main hall is entirely made of wood, with a tiered roof characteristic of Burmese architecture. Meanwhile, the small ordination hall features a wooden roof adorned with intricate plaster vine patterns above beautifully crafted door frames. Inside, you can find a striking statue of the Buddha draped in a robe embellished with exquisite rubies, a sight that is both rare and captivating.
