Wat Phra That Pu Chae

Rong Kwang District

Currently, the Fine Arts Department has registered Phra That Pu Ja as a national historical site. The stupa is a square-shaped structure, measuring approximately 4 meters on each side and standing 8 meters tall. It houses the relic of the right ankle bone of the Buddha, which has been revered for hundreds of years. Various rulers of Phrae have continuously restored it throughout history. Phra That Pu Ja holds significant spiritual importance for the people of Rong Kwang District. Every year, the local administration of Ban Wiang organizes an annual ritual on the full moon of the third lunar month, attracting numerous tourists who come to admire this sacred site.
