Within the temple, the Phra That Chao Chum stands facing Nong Han, which is to the east. The exact date of its construction is not clearly documented, but it is recognized as an important sacred site that has been a part of the history and identity of Sakon Nakhon since ancient times. Inside the hall near Phra That Chao Chum, there is a statue of Luang Phor Phra Ong Saen, a gilded and lacquered stucco Buddha statue in the Mara Vijaya pose, crafted in the Chiang Saen artistic style. This statue is seated on a Chuk Chi pedestal, which is 1.35 meters high, and has a lap width of 2 meters. From the lap to the top of the head, it measures 3.2 meters tall. This revered statue is a spiritual focal point for the Buddhist community in Sakon Nakhon, garnering deep respect and devotion from worshippers.
