Wat Phra Narai Maharat Worawihan, or Wat Klang Nakhon, is an ancient temple that has been a significant landmark for the city. It was established during the reign of King Narai the Great and is located in the heart of Nakhon Ratchasima. This temple once served as the venue for the ceremonial rites of the water purification, known as "Nam Phiphat Sattiya," for the officials of Nakhon Ratchasima. Additionally, it has been the site for the consecration of holy water during the royal ceremonies of ascension for monarchs.
