For those planning to travel to Khao Khitchakut, it's recommended to arrive in the late evening as this is considered the most suitable time. Once you arrive at the temple, you can park your vehicle and take a pickup truck up the mountain. By the time you reach the top, it will be nearing dawn. The descent will take you back down around midday, when the weather can be quite hot if you go up during the peak afternoon hours. - If you prefer to avoid crowds and long waits for transportation, it’s best to visit early during the opening season in the first month. Try to avoid public holidays and opt for weekdays instead. - There is ample parking available at the Wat Pluang parking lot, which can accommodate several thousand vehicles. Staff members are always on hand to assist. - You can also stay overnight at the temple, which provides pillows, but it is best to bring your own bedding. - The queue for the pickup trucks to Phra Baht Pluang is located in front of Wat Pluang. The service provided by the monk organization from Chanthaburi has over a hundred vehicles operating 24 hours a day. The fare is 200 baht per person (100 baht each way). Children under 12 can ride free of charge. The Khao Khitchakut National Park does not allow pets of any kind within the park's boundaries, and overnight camping or sleeping at the summit is not permitted. It’s advisable to check with the temple regarding the path to Phat Daeng before heading out. Thank you for the information from the Wat Pluang page.
