Mahanam Temple, Reverend Father Khao, 400 years old, pay homage to the largest Sangkachan Buddha image, located at Ban Mahanam, Village No. 4, Chaiphoom Sub-district, Chaiyo District, Ang Thong Province. According to the elders born in the reign of King Rama V, it was known that Wat Mahanam was built as a temple since 1776, originally called this temple. "Wat Intraram" Later, there was a monk named Phra Maharanam who lived in this temple. and built a monastery Sala Bampen Boon and persuaded monks from other monasteries to stay at this temple making the villagers comfortable to travel to make merit without having to travel to other temples that are far away until the villagers dubbed the name of the temple additionally "Wat Inthraram Nam Maha", later Ban people called it "Wat Mahanam"
