This is a temple that Thai Yai people like to call Wat Ngeo, while Chiang Rai people call it Wat Jang Moob (crouching elephant), some call it Wat Tala Mae Si. by creator's name It is another temple that is ancient in conjunction with the construction of Chiang Rai. It is said that the creator of this Ming Mueang Temple was Chao Nang Tala Mae Sri, wife of King Meng Rai the Great daughter of the Burmese king of Hongthawaddy Therefore, in the past Wat Ming Muang was an important temple and was supported by the royal family to prosper. Inside the temple, there are many interesting things, such as a wooden temple with a combination of Thai Yai and Lanna styles. The ceiling paneling is in Tribhum style and Bali in the shape of a swan. It is the only wooden temple in Chiang Rai that still exists today. Inside the temple is the place where Luang Pho Phra Sri Ming Mueang is enshrined. The main Buddha image of the temple, which is a stucco Buddha image covered with lacquer and gold. The lap size is 80 inches wide, Chiang Saen Sing 1 style art, over 400 years old. In front of the temple, there is an ancient well called "Chang Mub Pond" with a roof structure in the shape of a Mekong arch. Adorned with a statue of a crouching elephant facing the east. At the back, there is a Lanna art pagoda called "Phra That Ming Mueang" decorated with golden tiered tiers. According to Burmese art, because Chao Nang Tala Mae Sri, the creator, is of Burmese descent.
