Wat Wiset Chai Chan is a temple that has been entwined with the community of Wiset Chai Chan since the Ayutthaya period. Today, only the stupa remains as evidence of that era, while other structures were built during the Rattanakosin period. Notably, the ordination hall features exquisite murals painted during the same time that depict the life of the Buddha alongside scenes of foreign invaders on horseback. All these images were crafted in a shadow play style by the skilled artist Khun Phui Phum Ratana. Additionally, beside the ordination hall stands a small pavilion housing a replica of the footprint of the Buddha.
