Wat Si Chum

Wat Si Chum

Tambon Phra Bat, Mueang Lampang District.

The architecture and paintings within the temple are truly beautiful. This ancient Burmese temple, entirely constructed from wood sourced from the forests of Myanmar, showcases remarkable beauty. It features a golden chedi representing Burmese and Mon artistic styles, housing sacred relics that were brought from Myanmar, and has long been a revered site for the people of Lampang. Inside the temple, there are wall paintings depicting the history of Buddhism and a miniature layout of the temple complex. The temple's roof is adorned with intricately carved wooden spires, displaying exquisite designs. This temple is the largest among the 31 Burmese temples scattered throughout Thailand.
