If you embark on a journey following the trails of Burmese temples in Lampang, you will discover several hidden gems tucked away throughout the city. Once, many Burmese came to Lampang for the timber trade, and in accordance with their beliefs, they generously contributed to the construction of temples. This particular temple was built during the reign of King Rama V by a wealthy timber merchant from that era. One of the remarkable architectural features within the temple is the wooden hall, characterized by its tiered gable roof with nine pointed peaks, showcasing traditional Burmese style. The ceiling is adorned with intricately carved wooden designs, while the large round pillars are beautifully decorated with colorful glass inlays, stretching from the floor to the ceiling, crafted by skilled artisans with exquisite precision.
