This ancient temple, dating back to the late Ayutthaya period, was originally known as Wat Thong. It is located on the eastern side of the island city of Ayutthaya, leaning slightly towards the south, near Fort Phet. The temple has undergone continuous restoration and expansion during the Rattanakosin era. Inside the main hall, there are exquisite murals painted during the reign of King Rama VII, depicting the royal history of King Naresuan, showcasing remarkable artistry.
