Wat Hua Khuang is located near the Horse Barn Gate. It is an old temple believed to be built in the same period as Phra That Cho Hae (1387 B.E.) and Wat Phra That Luang Noeng. Phrae people considered Wat Hua Khuang to be Wat Hua Wiang. Phra That Chedi is a Lanna art style. and is the largest in Phrae city Interesting things within the temple are Phra That Wat Hua Khuang, which is over 1200 years old, with a legend telling of the appearance of a loved one coming out of the top of that relic, and the Ubosot, a Lanna-style ubosot. and has been restored by the Fine Arts Department
