Wat Ketumdee Sri Wararam was established on August 28, 1963, by Father Bandhoonsing (Jerm Kunabut). He discovered this location, which featured a small, dilapidated stupa. He constructed a new stupa over the old one, establishing it as the focal point of the temple and acquired a rectangular piece of land measuring four "sen" on each side from the devotees. At that time, it was referred to as the "Buddhist Stupa in the Middle of the Field," as the area surrounding the temple was a forest and pasture. Today, this stupa stands impressively at 80 meters tall. The temple was granted its ecclesiastical boundary, known as the "Visukhamasima," on October 3, 2000, with a width of 40 meters and a length of 80 meters. The name of the temple signifies "a place of residence for those with the highest aspirations." In terms of education, a Buddhist scripture school was opened in 1964.
