Wat Kasem Suriyamanach, originally named Wat Tha Nori, changed its name after the ceremonial laying of the boundary stone and the installation of the spirit house. The new name means "The Temple of Solar Power" (a temple that embodies the strength of the sun). Within the temple, there is a revered Buddha statue that the locals believe to be sacred, especially used during rainmaking ceremonies. This statue, known as Luang Por Phra Kanthanaratch, is intricately carved from a green jade stone. Wat Kasem Suriyamanach is beautifully situated alongside the Tha Chin River, making it one of the most picturesque locations in the area.
