The City Pillar Shrine of Phetchaburi Province was built in 1976. The design of the building was crafted by the Fine Arts Department, utilizing Chaiyaphum wood from Ban Linchang in Nong Yai Plong District and Wat Khao Luk Chang. Typically, Phetchaburi Province has two city pillar shrines: the current one (this one) located in front of Khao Wang, and the old city pillar shrine near Wat Lat.
