The Nontaburi Clock Tower was constructed in 1957 by the Ministry of Interior, which recognized the importance of punctuality in culture. A letter with the reference number 7843/2497, dated April 4, 1954, requested the installation of a public clock tower in the Nontaburi municipality for the benefit of the residents to easily tell the time. The Nontaburi Municipal Council approved the design of the clock tower, which stands at 17 meters tall. At the top of the tower, there are clock faces on all four sides, and above them is a listening post for news distribution and fire monitoring, also on all four sides. The clock itself is a Tag Heuer, the largest of its kind in Thailand, topped with a statue of a rooster. This clock tower has historically served as a central meeting point and commercial hub for the people of Nontaburi from past to present, providing timekeeping for travelers and serving as a significant landmark for the residents of the area.
