The Lanna Art and Culture Building, located behind Phayao Lake, offers stunning natural scenery and serves as a museum preserving the history of Phayao. This two-story building features five exhibition rooms, which are further divided into a total of 13 sections, showcasing invaluable artifacts from the city of Phayao. Highlights include over 500-year-old ceramics, a 500-year-old golden umbrella, and a 15-million-year-old fossil of a four-tusked elephant. Additionally, the museum holds significant historical documentation about the province of Phayao, detailing its literary background, local wisdom, culture, traditions, and the way of life of the Phayao people. Due to its remarkable contributions, this museum was honored with the Outstanding Award at the 7th Thai Tourism Industry Awards in 2008.
