The Queen's Gallery, established in 1971, was originally intended to be a film studio purchased by the late Mit Chaiybancha. However, plans were halted when he tragically passed away in an accident during filming in 1970. The land later came under the ownership of Bangkok Bank, which then opened opportunities for individuals knowledgeable in art and culture to manage the site. Subsequently, it was transformed into The Queen’s Gallery, a venue for the exhibition of artistic works, featuring both paintings and sculptures by both established and emerging Thai artists. The gallery spans five floors. The first floor serves as a multipurpose hall that houses a statue of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. The second floor features a space dedicated to showcasing works from contemporary artists, as well as creations from the Art and Craft Promotion Center and prototype paintings. The third floor is home to award-winning paintings from the prestigious Lotus Award category. The fourth floor highlights artworks by renowned artists and National Artists. Finally, the fifth floor provides a demonstration area for various art and handicraft creation, allowing the public to appreciate the artistic works and enhancing their creativity while fostering the development of artists' skills. Additionally, the gallery organizes auctions and sales of T-shirts, ties, and scarves designed by famous artists, making it a vibrant hub of artistic exchange and cultural appreciation.
